Florence & Gertrude is a creative partnership originally founded as students in 1976 when Florence studied drama and photography at Newcastle and Gertrude studied experimental cartography design at the Royal College of Art but spend most of his time experimenting in the photography department's darkrooms. Fast forward forty odd years and many things have changed, some haven't. Their main collaborations are now large-scale monotone abstract paintings, but Florence is still a drama queen and Harry's still working in the dark.
